Integrated Medical Services, Inc. is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Senior Accountant in our Corporate Office in Phoenix. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for developing financial reporting within the organization by implementing systems and procedures that promote reliable, timely information for managerial decision making, outside reporting, and legal compliance.  This includes interim financial statements, ongoing monitoring of compliance issues, and interfacing with year-end tax preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates financial statements for consolidated company and all divisions.
  • Calculates and maintains revenue recognition model for accrual-based revenue.
  • Responsible for monthly close process of the financials, with direction from CFO.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis by request from executive team.
  • Assists with monitoring and enhancing company’s internal controls.
  • Provides information and assists with explanations on year-end tax preparation.
  • Reviews monthly bank reconciliations.

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, including comprehension of KPIs and ZBA analytics.
  • Experience producing and reviewing financial statements.
  • Proficient in performing accounting functions, including preparation of supporting schedules, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Excellent spreadsheet (MS Excel) word processing (MS Word) skills required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Ability to improve processes and implement efficiencies within the monthly close function
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 4-8 years proven accounting experience in positions with increasing responsibility
  • Payroll management experience preferred
